Authentic Online Marketing for Artists Course Schedule


Like all course syllabi, this is a guideline – depending on how we progress, we may change some of this content.


Weeks 1, 3, 5 and 7 will include instruction. Each day there will be a 10 – 15 minute video posted on the site, along with some worksheets for download. These videos will contain bits of instruction with easily accomplished homework. There will also be a handful of live sessions, especially at the beginning. All live sessions will be recorded.


Weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8 will be implementation weeks, where we take the instruction from the previous week and bring it all together to implement. Students will be asked to repeat, expand and improve the smaller assignments from before.


All video sessions will be live on the site by 1 PM Pacific Time, unless marked otherwise. Please note the varying times for the live Q&A sessions.


Week 1


Day 1 – Welcome & live walk through of the course outline. Call information to be included in a later email after you sign up. In this session we’ll do the traditional syllabus walk through and make sure everyone knows how to access the info and what the expectations are for the next 8 weeks.


Day 2 – An overview of how artists document their process when creating their art – images, video and journaling.


Day 3 – How to organize all of this journaling stuff so that you can access it later.


Day 4 – Write about the process of documenting your art. This will help you explore your own inner artistic life and help you get clear on what’s happening, so you can learn to tell your story.


Day 5 – Discovering Your Uniquity. An overview of how to think about your ideal collectors and what you bring to the world that sets you apart.

Day 6 – Overview of business models for artists and how art is actually sold online


Day 7 – The elements of good storytelling & Artist case studies – how do artists tell the story of their art?
